About Nilesh
I have completed a BSc Degree majoring in Computer Science at the University of Waikato. I have completed a Diploma in Computer Science as well, in 1995.
My main interests in computer science are programming and Information Systems. I have coded in Cobol, C, C++, javascript, java, PHP, Visual Basic and currently I am teaching C#. I also developed an interest in the design and implementation of information systems, particularly in Database Management Systems. My passion is teaching programming and Computer Science and also promoting Computer Science at primary, intermediate and high school level. While working as a tutor I have developed an interest in eLEarning and am actively learning new techniques to facilitate student learning.
I am also very heavily involved in promoting Computer Science in intermediate and high schools. I am also passionate about encouraging more girls to study Computer Science and I have formed a group called Girls InC (Girls In Computing) as a way to provide a support network for girls around the Waikato region and to notify girls about various workshops.
