About Carolina
Carolina Short is a Senior Tutor of Bachelor of Design at the University of Waikato. Previously, she held academic positions at the University of Otago (New Zealand), the Burg-Giebichenstein School of Art and Design (Germany) and the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She has delivered postgraduate courses, seminars, and workshops, as well as published several articles, papers and books chapters on different areas of Design. She founded (bi)gital» in 1996 and since then, works for companies and institutions in Latin America, Europe, and New Zealand as designer and consultant. Some of the institutions (bi)gital» has been working with are the HfG Archive Ulm, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Buenos Aires Book Fair, Akademie Schloß Solitude, revista tipoGráfica. Carolina has a Graphic Design degree and a Master in Communication Design Theory from the University of Buenos Aires (FADU), Argentina.
I am very passionate about typography, in 2019 I created Mansalva and it became part of the Google Fonts Collection: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Mansalva
