About Alvin

Alvin Yeo develops, manages and runs the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) component of the MInfoTech (Master of Information Technology) postgraduate programme at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. The MInfoTech is offered under the Auckland ICT Graduate School (AGS), a partnership between University of Auckland and University of Waikato (under the purview of the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences (SCMS)). In addition to managing the internships, Alvin helps connect industry and community with SCMS, specifically, the researchers in the Computer Science Department, and the Mathematics & Statistics Department.

At present, Alvin convenes and co-teaches CSMAX570 paper, Preparing for the ICT internship. The paper was designed based on research carried out with Wilf Malcolm Institute of Educational Research and Centre of Tertiary Teaching and Learning.

He has been involved in over 40 R & D (Malaysia, Japan, EU funded) projects.
