ORKA Seminar: Making a Space Train - A talk about adaptive systems in interactive media

14 Sep 2021 2:10 PM - 3:00 PM
Presenter/Speaker: Chris Anderson
Location: Online

The field of interactive media is defined in part by its multidisciplinary requirements. From audio to character art, gameplay systems to narrative, games depend on a range of people with a wide range of skills. The work of many of these disciplines can benefit, either now or in future, from adaptive systems.

In this talk, I’ll discuss an overview of game development from an adaptive systems standpoint. We’ll cover the problems, solutions, and opportunities in the spaces of AI, gameplay, and real-time graphics, as well as random parts of the pipeline that I happen to find interesting.
