Dr Sivadon Chaisiri

Sivadon Chaisiri is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Waikato's Cyber Security Lab. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from the Nanyang Technological University in 2013. He has conducted research in telecommunications security, cyber security, smart grid, and cloud computing. Before pursuing the PhD, he worked in Sun Microsystems as a grid computing consultant and Thai universities as a computer science lecturer. He joined R&D projects such as cloud computing projects funded by A*STAR (Singapore), distributed computing financial analytics project funded by Thai Bond Market Association (Thailand), mobile application development for water conservation project funded by the Department of Water Resources (Thailand), mobile telecommunications security projects funded by NBTC (Thailand), and cyber security project funded by MBIE (New Zealand).
Prior to joining the University of Waikato's Cyber Security Lab, he was a computer science lecturer at the Shinawatra University and acted as a cyber security consultant to NBTC (the Thailand telecommunications regulator). When he worked with NBTC, he led projects related to mobile telecommunications security.
Currently, Sivadon is a researcher working for STRATUS (Security Technologies Returning Accountability, Transparency and User-centric Services in the Cloud) project, the cyber security project funded by MBIE. Now he is also a principal investigator for research projects funded by InternetNZ and the NZ Office of Privacy Commissioner (OPC).
